According to the Oriental Morning Post report, the attackers had foot-long knives and were dressed all in black. They stabbed everyone they ran into, from the ticket hall to the square. The trail of blood was 300 feet long.

Local authorities were notified by the central department that reports on the event should follow Xinhua’s reporting, skipping large titles and pictures. Tencent, Netease, and other news sites also stopped updating relevant information early the next morning.
