A Beijing-bound Malaysian Airlines (MAS) plane disappeared off Vietnam’s airspace this morning and did not arrive at Beijing as scheduled.

The aircraft, MH370, was carrying 227 passengers, including 2 infants, and 12 crew members.

The passengers were of 14 nationalities, including 153 Chinese, 6 Australians, 2 New Zealanders, and 4 Americans.

An unconfirmed report from a Hong Kong cable television report stated that the plane, condition unknown, was sighted on an island, about 153 miles from Vietnam.
