Man Refuses to Sell Strange Stone for 80,000 Yuan

“Why is the stone so precious?” With many questions in mind, a reporter went to visit Wang, who picked up the stone on a riverbank and refused to sell it for 80,000 yuan (US$12,780).

The legendary stone is 3.5 inches in length, 3.9 inches in width, and 4.3 inches in height. It has a crescent shape, and is reddish brown in color. In addition to the rare shape, the peculiarity of the stone lies in that it is a seamless blending of two different kinds of minerals.

According to Wang, he accidentally found this stone on a riverbank in Zhushan, Hubei Province, when was on a business trip there in March. The stone was spotted by a stone collector in Shanghai who offered Wang 80,000 yuan. Wang did not sell it because he thought the stone might be a symbol of good fortune.
