As X-Men: Days of Future Past opens in theaters across the United States, prolific Chinese actress Fan Bingbing prepares to debut in her first film release in America. We’ve tracked down posts on her official blog page. Here, she talks with Chinese fans about squeezing into her tight superhero costume.
Fan Bingbing wrote these couple posts about people’s reaction to her Blink costume. Blink is the mutant Fan plays in the new X-Men film.
“Only a full stomach gives you the energy you need to lose weight; only when you are skinny can you sport leather battle suits! My X-Men family, maybe we need to add a new power – instantly thin!
Remember when I tried my costume in LA for the first time, it was really tight. I, the little fattie, needed three helpers to zip the costume up. That was really killing me, and I wondered if the mutants do not eat or drink anything, but just go fighting? Well, maybe that’s a part of their super powers!”
Fan again posted about her jaw-dropping looks:
“Cosplay mode activated, evolution from 2D [comic] to 3D [actress] succeeds! As the real life Blink walks into the room; people need time for OMG.
“As soon as the green-eyed Blink entered the scene, everyone was shocked; they felt the spirit of the comic character coming! I thought you dressed me up according to the comic books? Why be so surprised?!”
