A policeman patrolling the G50 highway in Hubei Province got a shock when he pulled over a man using his feet to drive because he has no arms.
The 45-year-old driver, surnamed Guo, was on his way to Maozui Town when the cop spotted him at Xiantao Service Station.
Guo had his arms amputated aged seven when he got electrocuted by power lines, 163.com reported. Despite this hardship, he went on to get married and have two kids, supporting his family by selling fruit.
He learned to drive after seeing a friend do it, because he thought it looked easy enough. Using his left foot to steer, and his right foot to change gears, he said he has driven about 100,000 miles without getting caught or having an accident.
The policeman let him off with a fine of only 500 yuan (about $80), because he was a good driver, and managing to get by despite his disability. Unfortunately for Luo the condition was that he mustn’t drive again.
