Huge Ancient Bronze Vessel Heads Home to China After Nearly a Century Overseas

This ancient vessel was probably used as an incense burner or a wine vessel. In any case, it’s extremely old, and the biggest of its kind. It dates back to the Shang Dynasty (1600 B.C.-1046 B.C.). Though the vessel was auctioned overseas, the lid remained in China. Now they will be reunited at the Hunan Provincial Museum.
