Chinese netizens have compared former president Jiang Zemin’s appearance to that of one of the minions from Despicable Me before. After this inflatable toad in Beijing’s Yuyuan Spring Park became a state-media sensation upon its release, netizens started to say that, it too, looked like Jiang. Now, all those articles about “the biggest toad in Asia” (Xinhua) and others have mysteriously disappeared from the Internet.
