Comedy Movie ‘The Interview’ Ignites Wrath of North Korea’s Leadership, and it isn’t the First Time

The Interview takes a bold shot at North Korea’s bizarre leadership. Comedians Seth Rogen and James Franco are out to assassinate Kim Jong-un, North Korea’s pudgy-faced communist dictator, played by Randall Park.  Kim Jong-un is the third dictator since the founding of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea in 1948.

Of course, North Korea doesn’t get the joke. As you can see from the CNN clip above, it’s not the first time North Korea has been made a joke of on TV or in motion picture. People love poking fun at those wacky leaders. And as an added bonus to the film’s promotion, North Korea threatens violent retaliation.
