A couple in Wuhan Province celebrated their first date during the Qixi Festival or Chinese Valentine’s Day, but got so carried away kissing that they ended up in the emergency department.

Zhang and Xiaowen are both first-year students in the same class, and Zhang asked Xiaowen out for dinner at a nice restaurant. He brought her flowers, and gifts, and they went for a walk after dinner.

The couple started kissing, but had to stop when Xiaowen’s jaw made a popping sound, and she couldn’t close her mouth, according to Tencent News.

They rushed to the hospital in Hanko, and the doctor on duty reset her jaw. No doubt the pair will never forget their first Valentine’s day together!
