Doctors saved the life of an unborn baby after his mother was struck dead by a falling tree in Hong Kong on August 14.
The 37-year-old woman was 38 weeks pregnant. She was knocked unconscious, and crushed by a large section of a rotten tree that fell down in a wealthy area called the Mid-Levels, according to the Straits Times.
She was rushed to hospital, but declared dead on arrival. However, surgeons performed an emergency cesarean, and the little boy is currently in a critical condition in intensive care.
