A 20-year-old man who confessed to killing two people had a huge police escort on August 19 as protection from hundreds of people throwing eggs and stones at him.

Wu Yifan stabbed his classmate Liu during a petty argument last week, and then stabbed Liu’s grandmother while she was cooking dinner, because she was a witness to the crime.

Wu is in his third year at university, and has been mentally troubled since his parents got divorced when he was 15. His father told reporters that he feels responsible for the terrible tragedy that both the families are going through, hunan.voc.com reported.
