Hong Kong Gets an Elephant Parade

Elephant Parade began as an effort to save the Asian elephant. Both unknown and known artists participate in designing unique elephant statues.

The elephants are displayed throughout 3 major Hong Kong shopping centers. After the show ends, on September 9th, some of the elephants will be auctioned off. The proceeds will go to benefit elephant conservation projects.

The first Elephant Parade took place in 2007, in Rotterdam. The parade was inspired by a visit to an elephant hospital in Thailand.
