A man from Shaanxi Province spent 5,000 yuan ($814) on a purebred husky only to find out a year later that is was actually a white fox.

Surnamed Zhu, the man purchased his pet from a street vendor, but was surprised that it never barked, and grew a pointy nose, and big fluffy tail, China News Service reported.

Also his friends often mentioned that it looked just like a fox. Eventually, Zhu was told by a local animal protection station that the animal was indeed a fox, so he gave it to a zoo.
