This morning on my drive down the mountain where I live in upstate New York, I saw that overnight, the leaves had started changing color. For me, it seems too soon to welcome Autumn, I’m not ready. I need more summer, more heat, more swimming.
But, as the day wore on, the splashes of red, orange, and yellow from the previous sea of green reminded me how much I love to hike. Autumn is hiking time. America, I love your magnificent Fall foliage, and walking a trail right into the heart of the woods and mountain ranges is the best way to taste it.
I’m planning a trip to the Catskills in NY. How about you?
