There have been six attempts on Xi Jinping‘s life, according to an August 2014 article by Hong Kong’s The Trend Magazine.

The Communist Party leader was apparently attacked during visits to different cities due to internal power struggles.

The assassins were hired by other officials, according to a summary of the article by ChinaScope.

During his time in power since the end of 2012, there have been 16 security warnings issued for Xi, including four in Beijing when he was visiting government offices.
