A couple from Shanghai took nearly two months to take their LDV Maxus van back “home” to Birmingham where it was made.

Yaoguo Chen and Jie Wu, both 48, took two years to plan their trip of a lifetime, and quit their jobs before setting out, according to autohome.com.cn.

They left Shanghai on July 1, and traveled 12,427 miles across Asia and Europe to their destination, arriving on August 26.

Although the LDV manufacturing plant is no longer in operation, the pair were more than happy to visit Birmingham, and other parts of England.
