Yankees Retire Derek Jeter With Cinematic Elegance

Derek Jeter’s retirement has become quite the year-long celebration. This is one athlete that has given everything to come out as one of baseball’s finest players. Even when he’s not playing his best, the man garners respect from those in all fields. The video above is no exaggeration.

The 40-year-old, 14-time all-star leaves the Yankees as their all-time leader in hits, stolen bases, at bats, and games played. He’s played with the Yankees since 1995.

Being a top player for the most successful team in Major League Baseball history is saying a lot. It shows the man is one of the best of the best.

Derek Jeter played his final home game yesterday at Yankee Stadium. He will end his career this weekend vs. the Boston Red Sox.

Below is another video homage, showing Jeter touring the world-renowned home of the Yankees, Bronx, New York, also home of where I attended high school.
