Looks like even superheroes are a sensitive topic on Sina Weibo! This message for Hongkongers was eliminated after barely being shared 20 times.

The bat-signal appeared in Admiralty—when Chief Secretary Carrie Lam cancelled talks at the last minute—calling for everyone to step forward as vigilantes.

Similar images have been popping up elsewhere like this one of student leader Joshua Wong who just turned 18.

 

Although online symbols may be frowned on, there’s no problem with supporting McDonald’s in Hong Kong which recently started selling the Batman Double Diner Beef Burger with squeezy cheesy French fries, and sparkling green-apple tea.
