‘Lessons in Dissent’: New Documentary on HK Student Leaders

This clip is the opening scene of the documentary Lessons in Dissent which will air in the United States in November.

It’s about two Hong Kong activists: Joshua Wong, leader of the Scholarism movement, and Ma Jai, a member of a radical pro-democracy party.

Directed by Matthew Torne, the film looks at these young Hongkongers, and what they were up to 2012, providing an interesting background to events happening in Hong Kong today.
