Ebola Nurse Kaci Hickox Breaks Quarantine and Goes for a Bike Ride

Health worker Kaci Hickox is meant to be housebound but broke her mandatory Ebola quarantine by going for a 55 minute long bicycle ride through rural Maine with her boyfriend on Thursday morning.

As a nurse, Hickox treated Ebola patients in Sierra Leone and on her return to the U.S. she was placed into a tent for quarantine purposes. She was then taken to her home in Fort Kent, Maine where she is meant to spend the rest of her 21-day quarantine reports Reuters. Twenty-one days is the maximum incubation period for the deadly Ebola virus.

As you can tell by the video above Hickox isn’t too happy about the whole quarantine thing.

Apart from her boyfriend and the throngs of journalist who surrounded her when she exited her house, Hickox was reportedly not in contact with any other people during her bike ride.
