Haha! I see some of these musicians all the time. They are always in the subways stuck on their instruments. So you know this is real. You know these are authentic New York City amateur subway musicians.
This is a great use of WiFi. You know you are a good conductor if you can keep musicians performing in time from different locations in the city. But this would only work as a video. A listening audience would only get part of the sound, unless they stayed at the conductor’s podium, perhaps.
But the advantage is that these musicians can still continue to receive tips as normal from wherever they are stationed. Subway performers can be territorial at times. More performers in a given area might mean less tips to go around.
Anyhow, I hope they can all get into a recording studio and put together an album.
