After Fleeing ISIS, Kobane Refugees Wait in Hope (Video)

The 12 minute film above by Deutsche Welle looks at the life of a refugee family who has fled from the extremist ISIS militants besieging the Kurdish town of Kobane in northern Syria.

Featured in the report are Mohammed Bashir and his family who are among 60,000 other refugees now living in one of several displaced persons camps set up in a small Kurdish city on the Turkish side of the border.

Mohammed shares a single tent with his wife and eight of their children.

Their eldest son, who is 19-years-of-age, is back fighting ISIS in Kobane.

Supported by coalition air cover, Iraqi Kurdish peshmerga fighters today joined the fight against ISIS in what is being called the Battle for Kobane.
