Life of Child Brides in Tanzania (Video)

Imagine your only daughter being forcefully sold off to marriage for a few cows.

Imagine not being able to stop it. As one of these mothers  in Tanzania expresses, “women don’t have the power to disagree with men”.

The young girls have no say in the matter either.

Even if they want to study in school and not be married off, often economics sway their fathers to sell them off.

Even after they are married the young girls have to deal with abuse and suffering at the hands of their husbands.

Watch this video produced by HRW to learn more about child brides in Tanzania and the struggles they have to go through on a daily basis.
