ISIS militants are terrified of female Kurdish fighters because they believe if they’re killed by them, they’ll get a one way ticket to hell.
That’s one interesting fact told in the video above that looks at the Muslim women serving in the Kurdish forces against ISIS.
Women make up 35 percent of the Kurdish troops in Syria.
Mostly they serve in Women’s Protection Units with the YPG, the national army of Syrian Kurdistan. They’re currently playing an important role in defending the small city of Kobane against ISIS.
Several Americans have also joined Kurdish forces to fight the jihadists.
