Veterans Are Using MMA to Treat Post-Combat Illnesses

This is a great way to acclimatize veterans back to society. Using Mixed Martial Arts to treat the trauma of being in a war for years at a time. These veterans come out of wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

It makes sense that a person trained for combat with no rules, like war, gets involved in combat with rules. It treats the effects of the life altering scenarios one can experience in a war.

It reminds me of the time after Japan was at peace and samurai had no employment. So sumo came about. Or the way warriors trained in China, and how in times of peace their movements became classical Chinese dance.

MMA provides a healing path ideal for veterans.
