Let’s Get Down and Dirty at the Elephant Mud Bath (Video)

The elephants at the Elephant Nature Park in northern Thailand love to take mud baths—it’s their favorite activity.

Although it looks like they’re having lots of fun, mud cools the elephants down and protects them from insects and sunburn.

When elephants in the wild can’t find mud, they will go to a river to get wet and then spray dirt all over their bodies with their trunks.

Watch the cute baby elephant frolic around in the mud, at times struggling to get upright.
