Chaos in Hong Kong as Police Crack Down on Pro-Democracy Protesters

There has been chaotic scenes in Hong Kong as police cracked down on students who had surrounded key government offices as they continue their bid to push for greater democracy in the former British colony.

Police, armed with batons and pepper spray, arrested over 40 people in what has been described as the most violent events since the student led pro-democracy demonstrations began two months ago. See the above video for more.

Unrest flared late on Sunday and continued into Monday morning.
