Last month CBS cameraman Danny Cooke took some pretty incredible video footage of the deserted town of Pripyat, Chernobyl.
This town was home to a nuclear disaster in 1986, which forced all who lived there to leave. The chilling and oftentimes sad footage that Cooke captures make you feel almost as though its your home town where you grew up.
I don’t know why, but the half broken swing for me was a powerful image, showing the impact this disaster had on the lives of children.
The aerial footage of the deserted city is equally as chilling.
Take a look at the video. It makes me wonder whether one day we will see footage of Fukishima like this as well?
