For those people who lived through the Cold War, the threat of nuclear Armageddon was not uncommon.
There may be international political strains today, Russia vs. the West, China’s maritime ambitions but it’s hopefully doubtful that we’ll be dragged to the brink of an all-out nuclear war anytime soon.
So who has nuclear weapons?
Belonging to that club are the UK, the U.S., Russia, China, France, India and Pakistan plus Israel who have not officially acknowledged that they have them.
Iran and North Korea are also believed to be pursing nuclear weapons.
