There are quite a few captions that could’ve worked for this photo, but the one the blogger chose got it deleted on Sina Weibo.

It shows Hu Jintao, the previous leader of the Chinese Communist Party, sitting next to current leader Xi Jinping.

Hu has been in the headlines lately because his senior aide, Ling Jihua, is being investigated for corruption.

Ling is the latest target in Xi’s anti-graft campaign, after a series of other top officials have been arrested, including ex-security tsar Zhou Yongkang, and top general Xu Caihou in the People’s Liberation Army.

Apparently Hu fully supports the investigation into Ling. In fact, Ling is rumored to be in the “New Gang of Four” along with Zhou Yongkang, Xu Caihou, and fallen politician Bo Xilai.

The censored caption said:

“I finally understand the former chairman’s hardship: The military are bad guys, the police are bad guys, hired thugs are bad guys, local officials are bad guys, even his personal aide is a bad guy!

Dear Chairman, it was a tough decade that you lived.  No wonder you cried publicly.
