Astounding Carving Featured in Guinness Book of Records (Video)

He created an incredible legacy from a single tree.

Artist Zheng Chunhui carved this replica of one of China’s most famous paintings, Along the River During the Qingming Festival, which was originally painted over 1,000 years ago.

This world record, made from a tree that was over 40 feet tall, is quite a sight to behold. The sculpture is 10 feet tall, 8 feet wide, and all made from one tree trunk.

There are 550 carefully carved human figures, as well as boats, bridges, and buildings, depicting daily life in Kaifeng on Tomb-Sweeping Day.
