    Come see and feel how Hong Kong people celebrate Chinese New Year with a spectacular night parade.

    The Cathay Pacific International Chinese New Year Night Parade is one of the best loved events on the first day of the Chinese New Year, which falls on Feb. 19, 2015.

    2015 is the 20th anniversary of this annual celebration. The theme for this year is: Sweet 20 World Party. This year, the Hong Kong tourist bureau and Cathay Pacific contributed more money for the night show. It will cost HK$32,000,000 (US$4,127,000) for the event.

    The parade will light up streets with illuminated floats. Cartoons, Acrobatic shows, and famous local and overseas singers and dancers will join together to entertain and surprise everyone. According to Hong Kong’s tourist spokesperson, around 34 performance troops from overseas will be coming to Hong Kong for this celebration.

    Tickets for the night parade are sold out. People are able watch from both sides of streets on the day so they can enjoy the show.
