His father, Manute Bol, was one of the two tallest NBA players ever. He died in 2010, at age 47 from kidney failure and a skin disease. He had 10 kids altogether from 2 marriages.
He was known for his extensive humanitarian work related to his war torn homeland, Sudan. In fact, he is known for putting all of his money into trying to improve conditions there, leaving little left for himself and his family.
In the NBA, he was one of the most feared shot blockers. By the looks of his game at just 15 years of age, Bol Bol can be a much more versatile player than his father was. Let’s see how much more he can grow in skill and in height.
