How Dangerous Do You Think It Is to Be a Critic of Russia’s President?

It shocked the world when Boris Nemtsov, the Russian opposition leader, was assassinated on Feb. 27 in Moscow, not far from the Kremlin.

A few days later, Nemtsov was due to lead a large anti-Putin rally in the Russian capital. He was also preparing another report proving Russia’s military presence in Ukraine.

According to the above video, this isn’t the first time an anti-Putin critic has met an awful end.

If the video is anything to go by, it’d certainly be a health hazard to get on his wrong side.

It certainly appears Putin critics come off second best.

But recently, Putin has blamed Chechen extremists for Nemtsov’s death, a claim that has been met with a great deal of skepticism, reports The Daily Beast.

In fact, Putin and the Russian authorities had earlier offered a whole range of who-done-it theories, such as:

  • Jealous lovers
  • The Ukrainian government
  • The CIA
  • Nemtsov’s fellow opposition members

Now, according to the below video, the sprightly 62-year-old Putin may be the richest man on Earth. There’s a few more interesting points in there about the former KGB agent that you probably don’t know.
