Glad to see everybody had a fun time during filming. In just a month, everybody else will hopefully be having just as fun a time seeing the outcome in movie theaters.
Marvel turned the whole world into its fanboy.
Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, they’re all coming to be strongly identified with the roles they’ve played in Marvel movies. And unless any of these characters get killed off or leave the Avengers, we’ll be seeing them in Marvel movies at least until 2019.
Scarlett Johansson made Lucy in between her first Avengers role and now, but that was very much like a superhero film. At least, it was a film where she held supernormal abilities, even more abilities than she holds in the Marvel world. Perhaps the public can’t bear to see her play an ordinary human any more.
If I could just get into a Marvel movie, my career would be set. Maybe I could play the scrawny sidekick of one of these towering heroes. If not that, then perhaps a miscellaneous Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., or employee at Stark Industries, just one of those people that sits behind a computer.
It feels good to see the heroes I read as a child coming to life on the screen in a very real way. In fact, they are taking over Hollywood. There is little space anymore for other types of films, but is that a bad thing? Could be a phase that lasts until Infinity War is finished.
If course it’s made some filmmakers mad, but I bet they’re secretly happy, and also used to read these comics growing up.
