This scary scene was photographed in Changchun in north-east China’s Jilin Province.

It shows pedestrians using a highway lane divider in the middle of fast-moving traffic.

The strip is only about 3 feet wide and 0.6 miles long, according to Tencent News.

Their story was originally published saying that the so-called walkway was purposely installed their by local authorities, which wouldn’t be surprising considering some of the strange things that happen in China.

However, bloggers were quick to point out that this isn’t the case, and it’s actually just fearless people choosing to use the strip as a footpath.
