Make Breakfast Fun With These 3 Simple Recipes

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, especially for kids. They need the energy to start them off for the day.

But getting them to eat can be a challenge.

For us adults, we will eat anything if we know it’s good for us, but with kids you have to get creative.

Here are some really simple breakfast ideas that your kids will love, and that will give them the energy they need to start the day.

Breakfast sushi:

Don’t worry there is no seaweed or raw fish involved in this recipe.

You will need:

  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup peanut butter or nut butter or tahini
  • 1 cup rice bubbles/crispies

First, peel the banana, and then cut it up into bite size chunks

Spread the peanut butter/nut butter on the outside of the banana

Then roll it in the rice bubbles/crispies

Now, enjoy!

Traffic light smoothie:

There are 3 layers in this smoothie. The bottom layer will be green, the middle layer will be yellow, and the top layer will be red, just like a traffic light.

Green layer

  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 whole avocado
  • 4 tbsp yoghurt

Yellow layer

  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 banana
  • ½ cup orange cup
  • 1 mango

Red layer

  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 banana
  • 8 strawberries

First, make the green layer. Put all the ingredient into the blender. Blend until smooth. Then tip in a tall glass. Next, do the same for the orange layer, and last the red layer, which goes on top.

You will need:

  • Pancake mix
  • Butter
  • Chocolate Drops
  • Blueberries
  • Zip Lock Bag

Put pancake mix in the zip lock bag and then cut off a bit of the edge of the bag

Now you can make shapes in the frying pan like and XO or a pig (as shown in the video)
