A 68-story skyscraper inspired by Diva Beyonce’s bootylicious shape will be built. This curvaceous building will be erected in Melbourne, Australia’s CBD.
The building design was inspired by Beyonce’s film clip ‘Ghost’, where her body was wrapped in fabric.
Dezeen Magazine wrote: “Australian firm Elenberg Fraser has won planning approval for a 226-meter-high Melbourne skyscraper that will feature a curvaceous form taken from a music video by Beyoncé.”
“The new Premiere Tower at 134 Spencer Street will boast a series of curves and bulges designed to make it as structurally efficient as possible,” Dezeen Magazine also wrote.
The Hollywood Reporter wrote: “Parametric modeling was used to design the building’s form, which dips in and out throughout the exterior of the skyscraper. No completion date has been announced.”
Elenberg Fraser wrote: “This project is the culmination of our significant research into how to best work with individual site and climatic constraints, brought together using our new parametric modelling techniques. The complex form—a vertical cantilever—is actually the most effective way to redistribute the building’s mass, giving the best results in terms of structural dispersion, frequency oscillation, and wind requirements. Art and science? You betcha.”
