Leonardo DiCaprio is pretty well known for his taste for supermodels and living a lavish jet-set lifestyle, but he also has a very caring side.
His namesake charity is again donating millions in an effort to help with environmental causes.
DiCaprio has pledged a massive $15 million in grants to various environmental organisations.
People wrote: “The 40-year-old star’s namesake charity, the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, announced Tuesday that it has awarded grants to environmental groups, including Amazon Watch, National Geographic, Pristine Seas, Save the Elephants, and the World Wildlife Fund.”

The Daily Mail wrote: “Calling destruction to the environment too serious to ignore, the star said he wanted to lend a hand to help conservationists solve what he called humankind’s greatest challenge.”
“The destruction of our planet continues at a pace we can no longer afford to ignore,” said the Titanic actor.
“We have a responsibility to innovate a future where the habitability of our planet does not come at the expense of those who inhabit it.
“I am proud to support these organizations who are working to solve humankind’s greatest challenge,” he said.
E!Online wrote: “His foundation now has a presence in over 40 countries and just last year, the 40-year-old was named a United Nations Messenger of Peace with a special focus on climate change for all of his tireless efforts. The A-lister took to Instagram shortly after the news went public and posted a selfie of himself gazing at a glacier.”
The Huffington Post reported: “In September of 2014, DiCaprio addressed world leaders at the United Nations Climate Summit, urging them to address “the greatest challenge of our existence on this planet.”
“As an actor, I pretend for a living. I play fictitious characters often solving fictitious problems. I believe mankind has looked at climate change in that same way,” he said at the time. “My Friends, this body—perhaps more than any other gathering in human history—now faces this difficult, but achievable task. You can make history… or be vilified by it.”
It’s great to see a Hollywood A-lister using his money to help out.
