Mark Sinclair was his birth name. During his teens, he changed his name to Vin Diesel when he became a bouncer in New York city.
2. He has a twin brother
Paul Vincent is his fraternal twin brother. He works as a film editor and in the sound department.
3. His full ethnicity is unknown
According to IMDb: “He never knew his biological father. His mother is white (with English, German, Scottish, and Irish ancestry), and his adoptive father is African-American; referring to his biological father’s background, Diesel has said that he himself is “definitely a person of color.”
4. Steven Spielerg sought out Vin Diesel to be in ‘Saving Private Ryan’
After no breaks in his career, Diesel wrote and starred in his own film entitled Multi-Facial, which was screened at the Cannes Film Festival. Spielberg was so impressed by the film, he called Diesel to star in Saving Private Ryan, which was the beginning of his Hollywood career.
