Updos instantly give your face and your whole appearance a lift, creating interest around your hair, making you look sophisticated.

The best thing about these three hairstyles is that they don’t need to be neat and tidy—they are designed to appear natural, relaxed, and rustic—this is the Boho look!

Therefore, you can do them super-fast in the morning without worrying about dreaded speed bumps. All you need now is some elastic bands, a few bobby-pins, and this short tutorial from Asian Beauty Secrets.

3 Easy updos

#1 Knots

This hairstyle requires starting up high and separating your hair into two parts, and literally tying it in knots. Then, you work your way down the back of your head, forming new knots as you go.

When you reach the bottom, secure with an elastic and pin any loose hair up with a couple of bobby pins to finish.

The result is a designer tangle of knots, similar to a braid, yet more interesting. Perfect for school.

#2 Twists

To create this style, section off two portions of hair at the crown of the head, and begin to twist. Once you’ve twisted to the bottom, tease the twist, and pin it up, forming a messy bun.

Repeat this step two more times, with sections of hair gathered from further down the head, until you have 3 small buns—one below the other down the back of the head.

The result is a glamorous but relaxed up-do which is perfect for work and evenings out. Put on your pearl earrings and you’re away.

#3 Boho hippy

This pretty look is achieved by sectioning off the right side of the crown into two portions, and twisting them together. Secure the twist down the bottom with a small hair elastic.

Repeat the twist with the other side of the crown, again sectioning it into two sections and twisting. Thread one twist through the other, twisting and gathering both twists up and pinning it, making a half bun just below the crown. Leave a few strands to frame the face for the relaxed boho look.

The result is a ultra-feminine style which compliments your casual wardrobe, such as jeans, maxi-dresses, or thick wintery cardigans. Perfect for a night out at the movies, or a coffee date with friends.
