Facebook knows how hard it is to get over your ex, especially when you are still seeing their pictures on Facebook and what they are doing.

To help make the breakup phase easier, Facebook is testing a few new tools to help ease the pain.

When you make the dreaded change of your relationship status to “single,” Facebook will suggest:

That you won’t see their posts in your News Feed, and when people write a new message or tag friends in photos, their name won’t be suggested.

Not let your former partner see some of your photos, videos, or status updates.

Past posts with a former partner can be edited, and you can untag yourself from these posts.

Testing of these new tools started on November 19, and based on the feedback, they will make the necessary changes. Right now, it’s only available on the mobile Facebook app in the U.S.; the new tools are optional, and can be found in the help center.

“This work is part of our ongoing effort to develop resources for people who may be going through difficult moments in their lives. We hope these tools will help people end relationships on Facebook with greater ease, comfort, and sense of control,” the company wrote in a statement.
