Able to crack open a watermelon in one bite, these hippos don’t have time to neatly slice and distribute their watermelon snacks like humans. They are messy and juice splatters everywhere, but it’s so fun to watch them eat. It’s as if watermelons were made just for hippo mouths.
This hippo feeding goes on at the Nagasaki Bio Park, in Japan. There is a reason these people stand on elevated platforms. In the wilds of Africa, the hippopotamus is known to be aggressive and attack people without provocation, but maybe not if you stuff a watermelon in its mouth.
