Located in Yangmingshan National Park in northern Taiwan, Zhuzihu, also known as Bamboo Lake (竹子湖), is at a high altitude with rainy and damp weather that creates a perfect environment for nurturing a variety of rich and unique natural resources, including calla lilies (海芋) and hydrangeas (繡球花), etc.
Right after the calla lily season ended, various kinds of hydrangeas began to bloom in the Zhuzihu area.

The hydrangea is a symbol of modesty, sincerity, and hope. The hydrangeas in Zhuzihu come in abundant and diverse colors, including pure white, baby pink with red on the rims, pink, amaranth, blue and baby blue, and more.
In the Zhuzihu area, there are several hydrangea farms open to the public from May through the end of June. With colorful globes of hydrangeas all over these farms, in addition to appreciating and taking pictures of the hydrangeas in Zhuzihu, visitors can pick their own bouquet and bring them home for a small amount of money.
On weekends and holidays at this time of the year, the mesmerizing sea of hydrangeas always brings together a large number of visitors to Zhuzihu. It is a great place to take a perfect cool retreat on a hot summer day. Even in other seasons, Zhuzihu is a great place to photograph and enjoy the enchanting scenery of the farm area surrounded by mountains.
There are some restaurants and teahouses in Zhuzihu, where visitors can sit back, relax, and take in the beautiful mountain vistas while eating a healthful meal or sip a cup of fragrant tea or coffee. Additionally, a variety of flowering plants are sold at the shops in the Zhuzihu area.
