Lawyer and human rights activist Kerry Kennedy has written to Hong Kong’s democracy activist, Joshua Wong, who is currently serving a 6-month prison sentence. The letter from the daughter of Robert F. Kennedy and Ethel Skakel Kennedy, and niece of U.S. President John F. Kennedy, was written after Wong was jailed for his involvement in the 2014 Umbrella Movement protests.

Kerry Kennedy is a human rights activist and lawyer, and president of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, a human rights advocacy organization established in 1968 that works to realize Robert F. Kennedy’s dream of a peaceful and just world by advancing human rights.
