The Chinese New Year for 2019 begins on February 5, and it is the Year of the Pig in Chinese astrology. The pig is the 12th zodiac sign, representing generosity and wealth. The Chinese usually greet each other by saying “happiness and prosperity” at the start of the Year of the Pig.

The festival is one of the most popular global events and is also the reason for the largest annual mass migration in the world as millions of Chinese leave the cities and head back home to spend time with families. People avoid referencing anything from the past year as their attention is focused on a new beginning. Overall, this is a good year to make some money.
