Typing Text Messages that appear on the movie screen? I guess it creates a new level of audience interaction, but won’t that be distracting?
I suppose that you could just yell out your opinions about a movie, like people sometimes do here. At least that wouldn’t litter the screen with messages. But I’m thinking the movies that would benefit the most from on-screen text messaging are the worst movies. The movies that you don’t care to watch would be the ones where people shoot text messages back and forth across the screen.
But, as a useful tool for directors to get get audience feedback, it could be utilized during test screenings. I suppose directors could correct parts before the final release, or they could just choose not to release it.
