So the 2014-2015 NBA season begins today.

The first games will be the Dallas Mavericks vs. the San Antonio Spurs, the Orlando Magic vs. the New Orleans Pelicans, and then the Houston Rockets will take on the Los Angeles Lakers. All three teams from Texas are on the floor to start the season.

These are all going to be exciting games. Things to look out for in the season openers include how the Mavericks are prepared to deal with last season’s champion Spurs, what’s to come from Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans, and will the Lakers finally return to form with an invigorated Kobe.

This past NBA preseason was intense. There were injuries to major stars just in those preliminary games. Looks like the regular season is gearing up to be grueling.

I have a feeling the Lakers are the ones to watch this season. They could go in two different directions. They are either going to silence all critics with spectacular, renewed play, or fall flat early on and put all hopes in rebuilding on future trades.
