Good deeds done for others come back to you. (Image: ajusticenetwork via Compfight cc )

One night, when a blizzard hit Texas, a young man named Chris found his car broken down and he was trapped in the outskirts. While he was extremely anxious, a man on horseback came by.  When he saw Chris, he did not say a word, but used his horse and pulled Chris’s car into town.

Later, when Chris gratefully thanked him and offered him a lot of money, the man said:

You don’t need to thank me, but I want you to promise me that you will do your best to help other people when they are in trouble.

For years, Chris kept his promise and helped many people. He repeated that man’s remark every time.

Many years later, one day during a flash flood, Chris was trapped on an island. A brave teenager risked his life and saved Chris.

When he thanked the teenager, the young boy said: You don’t need to thank me, but I want you promise me that…..”

Chris’s chest suddenly filled with warmth. He realized that the chain of love he started moved around countless people, and finally came back to him through the teenager; good deeds he did for others were actually done for himself.
