Since its launch, the TV series The Empress of China has received high ratings, and been a hot topic on social media.
Lately, complaints about the drama being taken off air to adjust the women’s cleavage have lessened, but discussion about lead actress Fan Bingbing‘s eyebrows just went viral.
Many observant viewers noticed that her right eyebrow is much higher than her left one in the TV show. While most bloggers said these high-low brows actually make her more “powerful,” a young woman who just got this look after double eyelid surgery clearly doesn’t feel the same way.
She told Chongqing Evening News:
My right eyebrow is now significantly higher than the left one.
Chen asked the doctor about it, but was told she needed time to recover. Now, six months later, the special look is still there! Also the surgery left scars on her eyebrows and lids.
When Chen complained to the hospital, the surgeon replied: “Miss Chen had high-low brows before the surgery, and we improved it through the operation. Everyone’s aesthetical view is different. For me, I think the effect of the surgery is very good.”
